The New York Lottery announced on Tuesday, April 4 that Barbara Fillion claimed the million-dollar Powerball second prize for a drawing in October 2022.

Long Island resident Barbara Filion, of the hamlet of Albertson in Nassau County, claimed her $1,000,000 Powerball second prize from a drawing on October 22, 2022, the New York Lottery announced.

Fillion correctly matched the first five of the winning numbers, which were 19-25-48-55-60 and Powerball 18.

According to lottery officials, the lucky winner received a single lump sum payment totaling $651,000 after required withholdings.

Fillion purchased her winning ticket in Albertson, at 848 Willis Avenue Services, located at 848 Willis Avenue.

New York’s Powerball game generated $358,376,004 in total sales during the fiscal year 2021-2022, lottery officials said. During that same period, school districts in Nassau County received $172,704,552 in Lottery Aid to Education funds.
